The UK’s Fiscal Outlook – Likely Business Implications

Overview

Thursday, October 10th

7:00pm-10:30pm GMT

The Oliver Wyman Forum is hosting this dinner in partnership with the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS), the UK’s leading economics research institute. We’ll be joined by Paul Johnson, director of the IFS.

After Labour took power on July 5th, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rachel Reeves, announced a £22 billion gap in the government’s budget and stated that people should expect tax increases when she presents her first Autumn Budget.

We look forward to hearing from Paul on the shape of the daunting fiscal challenge ahead, likely measures Reeves will include, and the implications for the UK and business leaders.
