Christine Astorino is a Partner in Oliver Wyman’s Digital Practice and a leader in our CustomerFirst business, affiliated with the New York office. She brings 25 years of experience in marketing, design thinking, and disruptive innovation, enabling her to create impactful physical, digital, and service solutions for her clients.
She excels at inspiring her clients to think differently and to put the customer and employee at the core of every experience. She is an expert in marketing, design thinking, and disruptive innovation, which enables her to envision and implement the best of physical, digital, and service solutions that drive business impact and customer value.
Before joining Oliver Wyman, Christine was a Managing Director at BCG, where she served on the Customer Experience Leadership team and was a core member of the Marketing, Sales, and Pricing practice. In this role, she specialized in designing innovative customer and employee experience transformations that seamlessly integrated physical, digital, and service interactions. Christine has 25 years of consulting experience, beginning with her own design thinking and innovation firm, Fathom. She then transitioned to McKinsey & Company as an associate partner and later spent time at WeWork, helping to spearhead their Enterprise consulting group. Christine has also served as a Fortune 500 Chief Marketing Officer for GNC, Inc.
With her original training in architecture and landscape architecture, Christine broadened and evolved her design, strategy, and build skills to become a seasoned design thinker and innovation/business strategist. Her expertise and passion lie in transforming brands and igniting innovation through customer and employee-centric interactions. Christine's work spans various practice areas ranging from healthcare and life sciences, consumer, retail, financial services, transportation, energy, and telecom. She has contributed to the growth and leadership of global design teams at both McKinsey and BCG, and was a part of BCG’s Customer Experience Leadership team. Recognized as a thought leader in her field, Christine has been nationally published during the past 20 years and has participated in notable speaking engagements.
Christine has delivered keynote presentations at various renowned events, including TedX-Pittsburgh, where she presented "Seeing through the Perspectives of Children" (2009), and the Cannes Lions Festival (2022, 2023), where she focused on customer-centered innovation. Her thought leadership has also been featured in prominent publications such as The Boston Globe, The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Healthcare Design, and Fast Company magazine.
Christine lives in South Carolina and is an enthusiastic runner, golfer, tennis player, and gardener. She loves traveling extensively with her family, drinking fine wines, and snowboarding in the Colorado Rockies.
