Alexandre Bayen
Associate Provost and Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, UC Berkeley
Alex is Associate Provost for Moffett Field Program Development at the University of California, Berkeley, and the Liao Cho Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He served as director of the Institute of Transportation Studies at UC Berkeley from 2014 to 2020, and partnered with the Oliver Wyman Forum on its Global Mobility Executive Forum and in developing the Urban Mobility Readiness Index. Alex also has consulted with leading technology companies on shared mobility. A graduate of Ecole Polytechnique in France and of Stanford University, he also served in the French Department of Defense where he retired with the rank of Major (IPA).
